Man, 22, Charged With DWI After Rockland Crash Engulfs Car In Flames

STONY POINT, N.Y. - A 22-year-old man from the Bronx was charged with DWI and other offenses after his vehicle collided with a rock wall in Stony Point and caught fire, according to police.

Yamil Luna had a BAC in excess of .08 when he collided with a car and then a rock wall along the 500 block of Willow Grove Road on Sunday, June 26. After hitting the rock wall, Luna's vehicle became engulfed in flames, Lt. Keith Williams said.

An occupant of the vehicle struck by Luna was transported to Nyack Hospital to receive treatment for minor injuries, according to Williams.

Luna was processed and released on several traffic tickets.
